I've been glued to my computer since coming back from the retreat. Great 2 days but lots to catch up on and lots to implement after the meeting.
Laraine and I get mistaken for each other all the time in the office. Even our own team members are guilty of calling us by the wrong name.
Today, after a long day of marketing meetings, we did a cooking challenge team building event. We all got a chance to try and make gnochi together from scratch.
When it came down to the "award" ceremony the "nona" (grandma chef) said
Zinger was a master at kneading dough and I showed high potential in the rolling of the gnochi. Except that I didn't actually get to roll the gnochi, my job was to knead the dough which I sucked at. She thought I was Laraine.
We kicked off our 2-day marketing retreat today. Great day picking Sanjay's (our CEO) brain and talking about our challenges and our successes.
Ended the night off with a team dinner at Hapa Izakaya where I discovered my new love. Plum Wine.
Noon - Dim sum
2:30pm - Systems Design - Group meeting (I got to see the Herman Miller office though. SO COOL!)
6:00pm - Drive up to Richmond Hill for dinner with Jen's family
10:00pm - Google Hangout meeting with Rotman Design Challenge team
Feeling stretched in all directions (brain capacity, time, school, Rotman Design Challenge)
I thrive on this and it feeds my love for learning! But can't wait for next week.
We're trying to ease a friend into camping by renting a yurt :) so excited to cook over an open fire again.
We sure got a few bazillion of these today. Hope everyone got home safe.
The last few weeks have been insane. Meetings meetings meetings. School school school.
But I love the team I work with at work and at school. They make it awesome!
